Reimagining science education

“We started by reimagining science education, and now these students have taken this to a new level by helping visually impaired students around the state.”

When students walked into Kelly Hogan’s genetics class, they were tasked with creating something—a physical object, something that might be found in a science museum—that could communicate what they were learning inside the classroom. With the help of Carolina’s makerspaces, they came up with a new way to bring science, technology, engineering and math learning to visually impaired students.
