In the service of giving back

“I am a four-year full tuition Army ROTC scholarship recipient and have been a member of the ROTC program since my freshman year. ROTC is a huge part of my life here at Carolina. For me, it’s my future. UNC’s Army ROTC program has greatly developed my skills as a leader and has given me the tools necessary to be successful in all of my future endeavors. That is why my senior gift is going to UNC Army ROTC in hopes that they can continue to inspire and develop others as they have with me.”

Tyler Miranda, who graduated in 2015, is now a second lieutenant in the United States Army.

This is story number 75 in the Carolina Stories 225th Anniversary Edition magazine.
